Peter’s love of his parents’ blue and white china dinner set sparked an interest in collecting ceramics when he began visiting antique and secondhand markets.

In fact Lars Tharpe (Antiques Roadshow expert) remembers going to value Peter’s collection as his first professional  assessment.

Peter’s response to the traumatic (and suspect) loss of Bass Clef was to develop other skills with a City and Guilds Ceramic Restoration certificate. Since then he enjoyed restoring people’s broken ceramics  – so central to his inner commitment to recycling.
